CAS-ual Fridays / Michele's 50th Birthday Blog Hop Celebration!

Bird-day

Welcome!  I am here to celebrate a friend, Michele Gross of CAS-ual Fridays, 50th BIRTHDAY!  There is a fabulous blog hop with lots of Girl Fridays from past and present!  Happy Birthday Michele!!!

You should have arrived from Alanna Moses' blog but if not, you can start at the beginning over at the CAS-ual Fridays blog.  Your next stop is the sweet Ceal Pritchett!

No automatic alt text available.

I just loved the Little Birdies stamps with their boldness!  I decided to stamp them in black on white cardstock and die cut.  I added some grey outline with N2 Copic and some pink cheeks with R20.  They were added to panel of layered cardstock strips in beachy colors (I've been watching lots of HGTV--island life ☺).  The strips were the perfect place to stamp multiple lines for the sentiment.

SugarPea Designs / Sweet Peek Day 4

Carrot about you

Hello!
I am excited to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets and matching dies.......there's something you are sure to love!

I hope you'll join me here over the final 2 days as I share Sweet Peeks for the all the NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 20th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

I created this card using the new Eyelet CoverPlate and the cutie 24 Carrot Friend stamps. I started with a die cut Eyelet CoverPlate in white and cut out a circle to create a window.  This panel was added to a top folding white notecard with foam adhesive.

I die cut a circle with the Zig Zag Stitched Circlesblended Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink, and splattered some water droplets.  I added my colored bunny with foam adhesive, a few orange enamel dots, and a simple white bow.

Technique Tuesday / Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day

Hello!  Mother's Day is fast approaching although it does not FEEL like spring weather where we are usually spending it outside planting our patio flowers.  ☺

I created this CAS Mother's Day card using Flowers for Mom from Technique Tuesday.  I paper pieced the Daisy from Flowers for Mom Dies with a black outline.  I added it to a Broken China Distress Oxide Ink blended panel that was die cut with the Threading Dies at the top and bottom.  I LOVE the fonts in this mini set (there's also a birthday stamp too!).  The panel was added with foam adhesive to a panel of coordinating yellow cardstock behind it.

Avery Elle / Critter Crew

Hello!  I have some inspiration using the Critter Crew stamps from Avery Elle.  This image is just adorable!

After stamping my image, I colored it in with Copic markers.  I wanted to make the image the focal point and I did this by using the Diagonal Stripes Elle-ments.  I die cut it out of white cardstock and added it to a white top folding notecard using foam adhesive.  I used the rectangle from the die and ink blended Broken China Distress Oxide ink.  I inset this back into my Diagonal Stripes frame.  I added my image with foam adhesive, added my sentiment, and some coordinating confetti.

SugarPea Designs / Sweet Peek Day 3

Good friend Hello!
I am excited to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets and matching dies.......there's something you are sure to love!

I hope you'll join me here over the final 3 days as I share Sweet Peeks for the all the NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 20th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

I have to be honest this image scared me!  To color such a detailed image was something I thought I couldn't do but I tackled it and I love how it turned out!  (although I have a very hard time photographing red cardstock)

The image stamped perfectly in the corner of the smaller of the two postage stamp dies.  Tip:  To make this easier on myself, I black heat embossed the image so I could watercolor.  Using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, I added color and used my waterbrush to spread the color and shade.  Isn't this image so CUTE?  Just look at these friends with their mismatched shoes!  eep!

SugarPea Designs / Sweet Peek Day 2

Merci Beaucoup
Hello!
I am excited to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets and matching dies.......there's something you are sure to love!

I hope you'll join me here over the next 4 days as I share Sweet Peeks for the all the NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 20th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

I started creating an alcohol ink background on Yupo paper.  One of my favorite techniques to do with alcohol inks is make stripes but in this case a pink/orange/hint of purple nighttime sky.  It was the perfect backdrop for the ParisScape die which was done in black.  I added a simple hot pink frame using the Postage Stamp CoverPlate.  The sentiment, from Chic Wishes, was stamped in StazOn black ink since Yupo paper is a slick surface.

SugarPea Designs / Sweet Peek Day 1

Postage Stamp
Hello!
I am excited to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets and matching dies.......there's something you are sure to love!

I hope you'll join me here over the next 5 days as I share Sweet Peeks for the all the NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 20th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

I've used the new Postage Stamp CoverPlate for a fun spring birthday card.  Using pastel colors of cardstock to create my card elements,  I adhered them all to the smaller postage stamp die that I stenciled polka dots onto it.  To finish, I added layered die cut word sentiments from this set as well.
